  • Speedrunners are definitely going to find a way to make use of this clipping out of the world glitch.

    • If they make a mistake or too many mistakes it’s death.

    • We can send dream there to speedrun getting his dad back

    • For real-world speedrunners reaching the end asap is as easy as pulling the trigger :D #darkhumortriggerwarning

    • @Darrell Galusha yes hi uh uh dreīrr

    • E

  • imagine how good a full blown backrooms show on netflix would be

    • Tried to imagine it, regretting that. think we should leave this one to the community.

    • thats what happened to slenderman

    • It would probably be terrible considering it's Netflix

    • Hear me out, "The Backrooms with Markliplier"

    • Walking The Series

  • I'm late to the party but there are a few issues. With the backrooms, the exits are not at the outer wall of the maze, they can be anywhere, and can transport you to other levels. Much like in Kane's video where there was a gap in the floor that placed him in another level located in the middle of nowhere. Canonically, the backrooms although not infinite, is impossibly large. I think the number was around 600,000,000 square miles on level 0, you can fact check me on that. Also, just because there is a map, it does not mean that is the layout of the entire place. Much like we are not limited exclusively to world maps, we can have maps of areas such as Cities or Countries. That could just be a map of the area they are in. This still could be useful as it insists that the backrooms layout does not change. Other than that, great video

    • Also, it's a non-linear space. basically, you could walk on a straight path and end up at the start.

    • @bitronic And that's great. I want to watch scary stuff, not read about fucking almomd water of all things.

    • @I am cool and you can't deny it kane's backrooms doesn't completely follow the community canon, it's based off the original 4chan post and some community elements, that's it, the video is playing off kane's version.

    • @Plan Trailmix backrooms canon does exist canon is what the community accepts as canon, almond water scattered around level 0? sure, so long people consider it cannon it is cannon, and people do accept it as cannon, therefore it is cannon partgoers lead you to level fun? canon, because people believe that it is

    • @Koch there is no such thing as canon. It's like the SCP Foundation, because it's contributed to by a huge community, it's impossible for there to be any official canon. With that being said there are a few commonly accepted ones, and in Kane's there aren't levels, it's _just_ the Backrooms. No Wretched, no Partygoers, no M.E.G, no almond water, just based off of the one original post

  • There's actually been a lot of people who have gone missing in my town lately. It's most likely because of the human trafficking everyone's been saying but videos like this worry me

  • An enigma: Growing up, I was always at church. Both of my parents are pastors and the buildings all had segmented rooms, with old flooring such as carpets. All of the churches had fluorescent lighting with loud hum-buzz. All of the churches had this ability to be simultaneously deafening but loud from my own physical presence… or influence. The back rooms are present, and familiar. A place of liminal experience. Neither the beginning, nor end. At first, your hope lies in endless opportunity, but over-exposure gives you anxiety and depression. The monsters aren’t real, but the influence causing atrophy of sanity is ever-present.

  • For those confused, there are multiple canons of the Backrooms. MatPat is taking about Kane's personal canon, not the wiki, liminal archives or the fandom.

    • There’s a FANDOM??

    • yea but i think that the fact that there are different versions of the backrooms kind of ruins the whole thing.

    • That was obvious

    • @Nathaniel fabroa gaming it’s a creepypasta.. compare it to a myth. Sometimes when you travel around the world, some people will have a slightly different version of a myth. It’s kind of like that, you can kind of create your own narrative

  • When me and my friends get noclipped into the backrooms, I’m just going to say “don’t worry, I watched the Film theory video on this”

  • Everyone gangsta until you think you escaped but you end up in the next backrooms level

    • @Kyle Brofolski it's the same thing

    • @The Seer no It's Level RUN for your life

    • And then you end up in level !.. Oh boy.

  • You have to do another Film Theory on the backrooms, since the lore has been expanded upon alot over the past months!!

    • @matt roberts yeah, though kane pixels doesn't follow the online backrooms lore. He builds lore himself and that's what I find so interesting about his series.

    • Aren't there like, over quadruple digits now in terms of the number of levels?

  • also tip! if ever get nocliped into the backrooms, i recommend ALWAYS having a pen, notebook or a jar of pen ink on you, the jar of pen ink can be used for spreading it on your hands and draging your hand across the yellow wallpaper! the pen and note book can be used for marking lands, for example, drawing what you see or map, or i totally recommend is writing down notes to keep track!

  • Honestly the concept of being trapped in never ending corridors is horrifying enough without needing a tri pod monster

    • @Don't read profile photo Omg you're everywhere

    • Indeed, level 0 is going to have no people. No entity. Nothing. Just you, *insert the description of level 0*

    • The tri pod monster is a howler, when it sees its victim, it will scream at the top of its lungs

    • @1 Mol I don't think that's how it works. I think the backrooms is it, once you are there you are there for good.

    • @LaserDude707 What if by no clipping and 'n' amount of times, someone would fall into the molecular world.

  • The issue is that the backrooms are presumably million of square miles. That would take forever to navigate even with the best strategy. Also air ducts might not really save you, they usually lead to the outside world, but in backrooms it will probably not lead anywhere, be trapped, or have monsters that crawl much faster than you.

  • After an absolute binge of Backrooms content I can say with 99% certainty that logic, reasoning, and Euclidean physics do not generally apply to the Backrooms

  • Everything's fine until you realize that in the new backrooms you have to go through many levels with different things, entities, mechanics and rooms which basically turn this video into something practically useless

  • Couple things with this, The "exit" can be in the center of the maze, it can be in any random spot in the maze actually, and not only that, but if you get into the ceiling and accidentally no-clip you end up in level "fun" and basically die

    • @Stim chances are that you spawn over water or in a not so high place (assuming that when you noclip out of the Backrooms the position is random). Also there's also the gate of the yellow suited explorers, which seems like the most safe exit.

    • @IGKU I'm not sure how you could survive Kane Pixels' version of the backrooms even if you found the exit. I mean I don't think anybody can survive such a fall. Maybe if you land in a tree or something and luckily survive but the chances of that happening are low.

    • @Th3G4mingExp3rt Now that I learned more about the Wiki Backrooms and the Kane Pixels's one I came back to say what Plan Trailmix said. These two backrooms are two totally different sagas, both are about superheroes but one is Marvel and the other is DC. In Kane Pixels one there's no different levels, no level fun, no partygoers, no partypoppers, no smilers, no almond water nor memory juice. And there's also an exit which is also estatic: the door were the yellow suited people enter the Backrooms. Just use the maze solving trick and wait until they come from the gate or they return to it. They'll help you. Also you can noclip back to reality on Kane Pixels's saga, just like at the end of the original video (other thing is that you may appear on a high place). And if you think that both sagas are the same universe try to find the Bacteria on the entity list of the Wiki, you won't find it. That's it. I wrote this not to correct to you, instead to avoid you to say incorrect stuff about the lore which can confuse newcomers and make them confirm things which aren't (just like happened to me on the "😮" repply). Hope that you get what I'm saying. Goodbye.

    • @Plan Trailmix that's the problem with no unified confirmed canon. You can start your discussions based on any lore created. But if you refer to the video you are right.

    • As we saw with the initial "footage found" video he was actually right at an exit when the creature captured him. Unfortunately he wouldn't have survived even if he went through the exit. Since it exits into somewhere in the air. Kinda reminded me of one of my favorite anime films (German) "Das Königreich der Katzen" I don't know the English name but I guess it's "The kingdom of cats" or something.

  • Kane out here is getting the recognition he deserves!!👏

    • The backrooms is real?

    • @Don't read profile photo what a journey bro 😂

    • @Don't read profile photo ur profile is fake, I bet it will steal my IP address I guess

    • @👇Not RickRoII 🤣 not falling for it 😉

    • What he deserves non of it.

  • I see how all of this would work if there wasn't a monster there, but we don't know how the monster behaves. We only know for sure, from the original creepypasta, that it hears you. So it would NOT be ideal to open the dumpster or files (as it would be loud and attract the monster). Also, it would be smart to take the rope, but it would slow you down to carry EVERYTHING you find and you have to move quickly, as there is something chasing you. Also, I wonder if the ceiling would be able to support a person's weight, so I don't feel like hiding there (or in the vents) would be a possibility and, again, you don't want to make loud noises (like the sound of the vent or you falling from the ceiling), so I'd keep my distance from that unless I had absolutely no other choice but try it.

  • I mean, this is all well and good for keeping track of location, but what about noise? All those options cause noise, and will definitely attract the monster. What could you do that’s noiseless?

  • Only problem about going into the ceiling, it leads you to level 19, but then again I don’t think he is aware there’s s more then 1 level. I cannot blame him though if he is just going off ILaward found footage

    • we (the people who know backrooms lore) should all band together and make a bunch of really long comments about each different level until level whatever the 9 quintillionth one is.

    • @GG endless attic

    • What's on level 19

    • @NoobezOffical the video was based off the series

    • @Dr Kaylus. LVL 3. That is just his series, but in the whole backrooms there are levels

  • The problem is that, matpats strategie relies on the monster not being intelligent enough to know the vague layout maze which it wonders around at all times

  • Just the feeling of being alone and trying to escape a monster in some kind of an endless maze is absolutely terrifying

    • @Costin Dragomir the piece's never again fit.

    • the whole scary part is when you noclip in because think about never seeing your family and friends and they will have no idea where you are it will be more sad than scary in my opinion

    • Yep but if you build confidence by learning most of the mazes algorithms and where they lead you, you might be able to cut a lot of corners to escape the monster, you could even through something far away and see if the monster comes to see it but that leaves the worry that it could come to see it through the path you are standing in ultimately leading to your death

    • @Sonal Mohrir that tripod monster isn't in the backrooms, he is doing a fan made version of it. in the real backrooms, it goes up to level 8. level 0 doesn't have much entities but it's entities are scary if you find any

    • fnaf 6 animatronic pov:

  • For any of this to work, you'd have to be able to instantly recognize that you're in an endless maze. Which most people don't realize until it's too late.

  • i've actually had some lucid dreams of the backrooms several times before even learning about them, even wrote about them in my dream journal, while exploring the sephiroth and qlithothic realm dream states. so the dreams close to the malkuth through the tunnels of sett- these would be how my subconsious sort of layed out the tunnels of sett, which led to alternate dream worlds of the primal desires of malkuth(earth) where the 9 hells are. of course they are called hells, because they can be very scary and always usually focus on a specific (negative)emotion. i love this concept.

    • I also had a similar dream going on. It was in a place i live and it looks a little different and a creature that appears to be super tall office man with no face chasing me till i wake up after getting caught

    • SAME I had a dream about them before the official backrooms existence I was in a dark vertical tunnel that was absolutely huge kinda like a huge cave but it was all wrapped in metal and there were catwalks going in different directions from side to side and they had a short drop between them and when I got lower and lower I got the feeling I was being watched and then it came I don’t know exactly what it was but it was terrifying it was 5x bigger than me and when it grabbed me it was like thick tar and it went into my ears nose mouth and eyes and it was like drowning but then I woke up. I had hat dream for the next week each time the monster would get me in different places but one time i managed to hide I saw an air duct and I went inside and I saw it look around and go back up to higher catwalks then I kept going down and I saw a yellow or red catwalk and a door and I went through it and never had that dream again I don’t know why I got that dream or why it happened so often but I hope it never happens again I don’t want the feeling of ink going down my throat.

  • As someone who has been homeless in extreme cold conditions... checking dumpsters and reutilizing discarded stuff meant the difference betwen life and death.

  • It really depends on what canon is real. If it's the original one, like seen in this video then yeah, these steps are pretty good, altough the backrooms space is non-linear, and is infinite. If you follow the newer canon, then there are other ways to escape into the other levels, like wandering far enoguh to go into level 1 or the Manila Room, noclipping through a wall to go to level -1, or breaking the floor to go to level 27. However, in the newer canon there are no entities in level 0.

    • @G Channel That isn't levels just terrain differences. No one would call it a level to go from a forest to the beach in our world. It might be semantics, but if Kane says they don't use levels in this interpretation, then I feel it is best not to muddle the terminology.

    • @Nicolai M There are levels. There is the tunnel level and the night oustide with houses that lead to other office like levels.

    • Kane doesn't use the common lore, so there are no levels and (so far) only one entity.

  • Alright I’m testing this out to see if Film Theory’s correct about how to survive. Wish me luck people

    • Yo dude... Been a while... You alright?

    • gl

    • Good luck, I heard the monster is a real fungi.

    • Good luck

    • I’m coming with bc I wanna survive

  • (MY OPINION) I really like the concept of the backrooms, a somewhat never ending space with annoying sounds of lamps, soggy carpets, and smelly wallpaper while also having a unknown creature chasing you around is really interesting. BUT, the concept of having OTHER levels to the backrooms ruins it for me. The backrooms is a mystery and forever will be, the other levels don't add on to the mystery but insted is just a normal scary game where you have to find your escape. In the original backrooms you don't know if you can even find the exit, the other levels makes sure that you can wich ruins the whole idea for me. P.S i obviously know it's not that deep

    • @Dustin Gaethje As i said i don't really like the idea of other levels, but that's my opinion and your is yours

    • Honestly, it would he horryfing af if you somehow did managed to climb out of every level to presumably where u think the maze ends, only to realize that there are never ending levels as well as never ending space on each level.

  • The idea of the backrooms is creepy enough, but in those videos the 90s style of video combined with the eerie silence makes it truly horrifying

  • “If you ever get thirsty you can drink as much moist carpet water to drink as you can possibly want”-Matt Pat 12:55.Most likely not the best idea if we don’t know what it’s is lol

    • Also it's very poison

    • Then again, if the choice is between maybe dying from contaminated water and definitely dying from thirst, I'd say it's probably better to roll the dice

  • This was cool. Now try to figure out how to survive the real backrooms with the actual monsters

  • "Don't go too far, I am not wearing pants," yes that is a great tip for others lol I'd probably summon the monster with laughter if I read that in the Backrooms

    • @GeeswithanE • 7 yr ago the last level is 9223372036854775807

    • @GeeswithanE • 7 yr ago lmao the new vid series is amazing horror, it’s not “ruining” the horror of the backrooms it’s a new interpretation. That’s like saying awesome videos like SCP: Overlord are “ruining” SCP lore simply because they don’t follow any SCP entry.

    • @Don't read profile photo I read your brain

    • @GeeswithanE • 7 yr ago this video in particular is capitalizing on the popularity of KanePixels series though, which has millions of views and is likely a lot more known in the ILaward sphere than the backrooms wikis or wherever the more established lore is found. It's basically just a re-interpretation of the idea, I don't see how it's an attempt to "ruin psychological horror". It's still in the same genre just with slightly different lore lol. Aren't the wikis open to fan contributions anyways?? You can just say you like the original version more, you don't have to be so aggressive about everything.

  • Weird question: could you drink the water on the floor? I mean, if you're stuck in a labyrinth of millions of square miles, a water supply would be useful.

  • Ok MatPat, few things to clear up first. The Backrooms are definitely infinite, or at least level 0 is (that’s right. there are more levels that I’ll get into soon). It’s infinite in the sense that the physical layout actually changes. This can happen at any time, but never when you’re looking at the subject of the undergoing change. So even if you did happen to mark the walls with something, that wouldn’t really come in useful. The reason that Kane sees markings left by other travellers (this is actually the technical term) is due to the interesting way that the backrooms ‘infinitely’ generates itself. It actually recycles parts lf the level and moves it to different locations when a traveller comes within viewing distance of an area without a set layout. This is like how chunks are generated in Minecraft, or indeed any other sandbox game. The second thing, which isn’t really a theory issue but more drawing attention to something. You were right when you said the ladder would be useful, however what is even more useful, in a mysterious way, is the hole that the ladder leads into. On the backrooms wiki, it states that the easiest, and most common way to enter level 1 is by climbing a ladder into a hole. It also states that the ladder is always found randomly, usually after 4 days of a traveller wandering in the backrooms. However it is unadvised to enter level 1 unless you are prepared. This is because of the fact that level 1 has a survival difficulty class of 2 compared to level 0’s 1. The reason though, that level 1 is more useful than level 0 is because you can actually see other players in level 1, with the entire level dotted with different outposts. Due to multiple sources (wiki and Reddit), the only area within level 0 where other travellers can see each other is in the rare manilla room, however it is unadvised to enter as without warning the room may enter a blackout period in which all the lights turn off and the traveller inside will hear screaming noises, most likely of loved ones. Basically, what I’m trying to say here is that even though your arguments and strategies for surviving the backrooms may seem logical to someone who doesn’t really know much about the backrooms, to people like may who have way too much free time know that this information isn’t helpful. For anyone who made it this far, some tips: 1. Look for bottles and cans of almond water, this liquid is completely safe to drink and greatly increases your sanity 2. Keep a sharp ear out for any entities, while your chances of running into any on this level are low, better safe then dead, so listen for any screaming, moaning, sniffing or scratching noises, and move quickly and quietly in the opposite direction 3. If you make it to level 1 either look for a nearby outpost (don’t shout, entities exist on this level), or make your way to the hub. A completely safe level with lots of merchants and no entities. In case anyone was wondering, I got a bit of this info from the official backrooms wiki, but most of my information came from the podcast “The Travellers Guide To The Backrooms” great podcast, would totally recommend. If you are STILL reading, (and if you are actually MatPat) then just letting you know, I loved your Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy reference.

  • the thing about the backrooms, though, is that they aren't actually linear space. (i.e. you can walk in a straight line and end up somewhere completely different.) there's also not really any exit or entrance

  • Also, the walls change right when you stop looking at them, the back rooms break reality, they don’t follow physics you could walk in a straight line turn back and face plant into a wall or walk into a straight line but your really going in circles

  • Kane did something amazing. He gave the backrooms a proper backstory while respecting many of the original ideas. He's got by far the best idea for the story.

    • @some guy Yep

    • @RosesLikeRed Firstly, mate legit shows three floors in the span of two videos, and I'd rather have quality in a couple than the shitshow that is the current wiki

    • @some guy if done right and not lazily it could work

    • @lore hunter Nobody wants Meg or the other groups. thats literally what killed the fandom for most people

    • @RosesLikeRed go read the wiki then lol

  • "and you found out the walls don't change every thirty minutes" was that a maze runner reference because i loved it lmao

  • wow i feel really prepared for this impossible and made up scenario now, awesome!

  • Since it's a creepy pasta, people also made their own levels, meaning there's thousands. Ik this is only the first but I think it'd be interesting to see other levels like "level !" Where all you need to survive is RUN. :)

  • Matt, all of this is great, but, the backrooms is a pocket dimension that exists out of reality, and doesnt really follow the rules of reality as we know,so making these assumptions,is bold

  • The only problem with leaving traces and tracks for yourself is that you're also leading the enemy straight to you.

    • @Malachy Hitchcock they can hear but they can also see motion

    • @Purple!! Ok . . ?

    • @Pugkin5405 theres multiple monsters in the backrooms and theyre everywhere

    • @Brian Garcia big brain(?)

    • @Adam El-Morsy exactly

  • Kane's backrooms is pretty cool but i like the backrooms with endless amounts of infinite levels

  • As a German I have to ask who pays the electricity bill for the backrooms I mean there are lights on 24/7.

  • What if this maze shifts? is there anything in the lore so far that proves the maze's layout is stagnant? What if you go down one path and the walls and layout move around. What if the Backroom is procedurally generated. What if the Backrooms are infinite and go on forever. What if he takes the vents, and the vents just lead to a maze of vents. What if you mark the walls but, the walls can regenerate or self heal?

    • He has a great point.

    • thats kinda just making this whole thing a no-way-out scenario

    • Well because we have seen the walls being marked on. And it doesn't change because A-Sync has a map, and can tether scientists to find their way back. It doesn't change at all but it may very well be infinite.

  • Btw the "exits" on this level sometimes lead to other levels. There are also some outposts in the backrooms (which are basically colonies) that set up bases around so the red traces maybe a line back to a colony

    • @Mr Chillbanana Keep your "realistic" almond water drenched lore lol

    • Sshhh bro they only want to know the unrealistic kane lore

  • The version with a lore is a lot more fun, but the original is a lot scarier in terms of existential dread

    • @Golden Cookie it was revealed the animatronics are possessed by dead children spirits. hundreds of times throughout the series. and it still has a fanbase today. i dont quite understand your point. maybe they arent attacking you because of the spirits, but i only said that to keep it brief. you know by now how confusing the lore is.

    • @Aydenator 27 No. If it were hypothetically revealed that FNAF animatonics are attacking you because of dead children spirits, FNAF would die out a lot faster. Or at least, a majority of people would completely ignore that and accept other variations. One incredibly important element that sustains long term interest in things like the SCP, Backrooms or Trevor Henderson Creatures is that there are so many possibilities. There is a sense of uncertainty. This makes people stay for much longer, because new ideas can be brought up for so much longer than if things were just completely set. To make something set, limited and very well refined would be good for incredibly high levels of interest in the short term. But when it comes to long term interest, something that has uncertainty and an unlimited amount of possibilities would do so much better. Let me tell you, Kane's version of the backrooms will be forgotten soon once he stops posting. But the version of the backrooms with tons of levels will remain for years to come.

    • @Akasha Fofo lore in horror is the only thing that hooks people up with their stories while depending on the creator/writer of the lore to not ruin the immersion.i mean, just look at the Informational Video.it does stated that humans found out about the Backrooms(or created it,which make much more sense) while still keeping the immersion.so basically it is depend on the execution. Example of horror with lore: Fnaf(obviously) Darkwood Scp Containment Breach Cry of Fears Resident Evil series Outlast 1 and 2

    • @Akasha Fofo you seem to be dead-set on this “FACT!” of yours, so would you care to bring your own example? what horror is better without lore?

    • @UCvfp9LpKKJr2Af7NygyWR6Q ok "Kingdom Hearts"

  • Surprisingly, I wasnt the first person to think of climbing into the ceiling, even just to get away from the monsters Its good to see that im not the only person who actually thinks

  • one thing that really gets annoying about 'found footage' videos is that we are assuming that whatever killed the cameraman wouldnt also destroy all footage in the proccess

  • Wish matpat would visit an actually made backrooms. I wanna know how he get his way out without being followed by a walking tripod

  • I want to try this, but I don’t think I would have the mental strength to get through it, or let myself die

  • you know the backrooms lore makes me yearn for a horror story with a smart cast, people who make all the right calls and still die anyway because sometimes you can't outthink an Eldrich God

    • I think you'd LOVE the Magnus Archives. It a podcast and it's more of an anthology with a small cast for the through line, but that's pretty much the vibe it gives off

    • The Thing

    • Plot twist: You are also an eldritch god

    • @Baku Links - I think he meant a parallelepiped where all sides are square-shaped.

  • Tbh stuff like this gets my brain churning this is why i like games with lore it leaves things to be discovered and or leaves paths to your own conclusions.

  • The backrooms is one of my favorite things so this is pretty cool to see you talking about it

  • I have a pretty important question that came to me. Matpat, If you actually got trapped in the Backrooms would you actually, logically try to find a way out? or, would you be blinded by panic?

  • What if the maze is multi-leveled? There's clearly stairs and holes, so what if there's no exit your same floors?

  • The fact that the Backrooms has moist carpets is weird to me… That would drive me nuts if I noclipped with only socks on 🧦 🤮

    • @Tarantula Madness yeah true. I think I just have a tendency to take things seriously when you shouldn’t

    • @Hugh Blue Umm it's all a tale my dude.

    • wait I can reply to a reply's reply?

    • man thats sus

    • W H A T

  • You forgot that the backrooms don't work the way intended. For all we know above that ceiling could just be an endless void.

    • if you go to the ceiling you would go to level fun maybe not kane pixels backrooms is diffrent

  • I'm pretty sure the first video date discrepancy is meant to indicate he spent multiple days in the backrooms, or it took a while for the camera to be found. The description date is the upload date, and the clapboard date is when the recording began

  • Can we just admire how Kane is 16 and created this masterpiece

  • well, it amazes me that no one actually brought high-grade weapons, if you can glitch there and can take items with you, why not something with self defense or take troops/battalion, not just people in defenseless suits

  • Normal sponsors: "Eat healthier" "Do you like MMOs?" "Save money!" MatPat's sponser: "How about some friggin' Scotish land??"

    • and an ad i get every other vid: FRICKING GENSHIN IMPACT

    • SCOTLAND FOREVER 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    • @Spiffy Gonzales welp good to know

    • @Amelia the hedgehog fairy They don't. They don't actually own the land they are selling you.

    • @Spiffy Gonzales i'm not in the us so... and i just want to know that they actually plant a tree

  • they need too make a show explaining every level of the backrooms

  • Thanks to him he has enough time to edit this video while he's trapped in the backrooms

  • The fact that Kane noclipped through the ground like that seems that his feet, stepped down too fast in a part that has the LEAST barrier between the Backrooms and the Frontrooms, therefore, the ground doesn't have time to react and making it "un-solid".

  • one thing the backrooms is non-euclidian meaning you can walk straight and end up having gone seemingly in a circle although kane’s lore could be different so please don’t criticize to much.

  • It probably costs a fortune to keep the electricity running in that place.

    • I bet millions to keep the electricity going

    • true

    • There is a level that provides all the backrooms power, it's a electrical factory that gets its power from a larger electrical factory, and that larger factory gets its power from an even larger electrical factory, so on and so on. If you somehow took out a large enough factory, you could leave an entire level without power

    • 30 million square spaces for one eletric box

    • @Ready And Waitingwithasuprise mmm monke

  • some of these methods wouldn't actually work because in found footage at the beginning we can see the monster stalking Kane (implying it's intelligent), but it also seems to be able to know where he is because it's both able to cut him off in the open room with all the doorways and it's able to find him in the small corridor at the end. Also, in motion detected it seems to be able to identify and avoid cameras

  • theory (not sure if anyone’s gonna read or even see this): what if async had somehow found a way to alter reality and glitch it? ask yourself why is the backrooms mainly concepted around maintenance tunnels, office rooms, etc? what if async “glitched” reality and made something that did meet their goals, but not really. they had made a creation for storage and the first thing that might come to your mind when thinking about storage are like maintenance and warehouses and also make them infinite for storing, and that was exactly their goal. but they glitched it to the point where the backrooms itself is “like a failed/glitched simulation” there are secret doorways that “noclip” you throughout our universe, and other universes. what if tools, humans, and “monsters” from different universes are noclipped in this same area. all im saying is what if they created a “successful yet failed” creation that have infinite levels of tunnels and rooms that not only connects our universe with the logic that we know, but other universes with their logic that we cant really understand.

    • that makes sense, except the actual lore of the backrooms doesn’t line up with this, as there are over 9 quintillion different levels, which couldn’t possibly have all been glitches in at the same time (unless I was coding it, im a terrible programmer) you would make a good theorist in my opinion

  • How mant of the monsters are there in the backrooms and can they be defeated by conventional weapons (firearms, knives, etc.)?

  • 10:32 that ladder into the hole in the wall is actually the exit to the next level so using it to get somewhere else isn’t the best choice

  • One nitpick: The throwing shoes at the ceiling seems very disadvantageous. We know that the monster can hear and see so as soon as you start throwing stuff around and making noise, it'll probably eventually find out your location.

    • @DashTheWolf 002 nope, level one is entity free

    • @Techno idk, I pay attention the the entities, not the levels X3

    • @DashTheWolf 002 if so would this be the first sighting on level 1?

    • @Alan Deckard *ahem* skin stealers? Smiliers? Arent they on level 1?

    • @Techno that's the biggest issue with this. We dont know what entity it was. My guess is sixarms.

  • Oh my, I just realized! If Kane tied a rope around his camera, he could suspend his camera into that hole, pull it back out, and then check the footage to see where it leads to. This is a Megamind Moment

    • @Pedro From Rio ya but when he found the hole he was being chased by the monster so it would make sence if he found it before the monster found him🙂🙂

    • @2P I mean. If he wasn’t being chased at the time, thats all. You’re correct.

    • U think he is the flash the monster was chasing him and he could jump or die choose jump into a hole not knowing were u go or die

  • 10:39 do NOT go into the ceiling grid unless you want to go to level fun =) this is not way to survive the backrooms. This is a speed run of life.

  • Moment of silence for the people hoo think the backrooms are real

  • Fun fact : There's tons of backrooms levels, which you need to find a way to survive + Entities, ALOT of anonymous entities

  • If the backrooms really existed there would totally be people trying to get in to do the backrooms challenge and find their way back out.

    • Mr beast.mp4 Today I put 200 fans in the backrooms first one who get out gets this Tesla!

    • @Cold No smh.

    • @Food yes. But if the camera was able to no clip to reality i think it’s a one way path back and forth

    • That would be first

    • @MdiPlayz 7 it is said on some levels that. that would work but it could also be death take your chance I guess

  • 10:38 if you try to escape through the ceiling, you'll most likely end up in Level FUN =) and you definitely don't want to go there

  • Number one rule of the backrooms: Never stop moving

  • Petition For MatPat to make “Conspiracy Theory” (or some better name) so he can post content like this and other things in a channel that better fits the genre

  • The man really said to go through the window, going from level 0 - a fairly not that dangerous level, to a far more life-threatening situation.
