  • As someone who saw this movie yesterday it's actually scary how accurate matpat is from just trailers.

    • @Eli Fernandez your thinking is far too short term, you can only cram so much into a 120 minute runtime. That's less than a lot of MCU films. You are overcritical of the film, your expectations are way too grandiose. There are issues with the films, Strange's development, and lack thereof, isn't one of them believe it or not.

    • @AJ he's speaking facts. MoM was one of their worst movies yet lmao.

    • @Tzelofachad me too

    • @Eli Fernandez wonda was the villain 😏

    • Right. Too scary

  • Its Crazy how close mat got to almost everything in the movie

    • Even America Chavez!

    • @Schlex not always

    • Not really, it’s really predictable material

    • @ShokuaK point being he guessed mostly what the movie is about

    • @Red MafiaPanda He also got main Dr. Strange protecting a young, inexperienced America Chavez right.

  • Oh my gosh. He nearly nailed the entire thing. The whole plot. Down to the cameos even.

    • Soo off yet soo right

    • @Evo I rewatched it, they weren’t scared of the multiverse, they wanted to stop Dr strange specifically because they saw *him* as dangerous. They didn’t even seem to overly care that Wanda was messing with the multiverse.

    • @Iris A he wasn’t really tho

    • @DG He wasn't correct about the roles(casting) of the actors, but he was correct about the roles(purpose) of the characters within the story.

  • Going back here and rewatching the theory after seeing the movie really puts a smile on my face. MatPat calling out possibilities in a movie makes the movie much more interesting as you already have added information based on Team Theorists research. I say that’s a HUGE W for Team Theorist. By the way I’m from the Philippines and ENJOY WATCHING THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS EVERYONE!

    • Eh P err Dr

    • Ever since they hired moviebob, these things have been scary accurate

    • Ayos kabayan!

    • @Banana did someone Hurt you banana lol?

    • Wow, impressive. You expressed an opinion on the internet (a controversial one too) and didn’t get a ton of hate. Well done.

  • The fact that Mat nailed this so accurately is almost as if he wrote the entire thing

    • Yeah that’s really impressive. His analysis skills are insane.

    • It was written by Moviebob on ILaward, check him out for more of this

  • Rewatching this episode after watching Multiverse of Madness and this is definitely the universe where matpat's theories are correct

  • Its scary how right matpat was on this one. we have to give him more credit

  • OMG! Matpat, you're getting better at this. You might as well put on "spoiler" warning next time you make predictions on Marvel movies.

    • @Liaistired bro what

    • ikr!! watched mOm two days ago and i went to the toilet at the end during...THAT scene ughhh!!

  • After watching the movie, it’s actually insane how accurate this is.

    • finished watching the movie, yea, he's pretty correct with this one, congrats matpat

    • frrr

    • literally what i came to say. so impressive

  • A lot of this actually aged like a fine wine. Not bad Mat.

  • Right now, it's a tradition to watch a movie and get back to your theories. Truly enjoying and very accurate!

  • I don't entirely understand why "Wanda ripping the universe apart to find her kids" is considered diminishing in any way. Do men not also love their kids?

    • pov: you found a comment that's not saying how good mat pat's prediction skills are

    • @zero naught I’m aware

    • @Chriscraft6190 Never said it was her kids

    • @zero naught the reason she’s evil isn’t because of her kids, it’s because the darkhold corrupted her

    • @Drunken Moon why would you think women have more compassion than men, that’s absolutely ridiculous. There aren’t gender assigned traits of behavior, we’re all humans.

  • Just remember theres a universe where every single one of matpats theories has been correct.

    • Or one that matpat doesn't even do ILaward.

    • Lol

    • That means there is a universe where your dad didn’t leave for the milk

    • Even sans is nes?

    • We are stuck in a universe where he’s wrong :(

  • Seeing this theory after watching the movie is actually astonishing, Mat is actually right for most of it, like wtf

  • Who just finished watching MoM and came back to watch this, yo MatPat congrats bro you got it basically SPOT ON!!!

  • I'm watching this video for the first time, immediately after watching Multiverse of Madness, (like it's literally 2am as I'm typing this), and all I want to say is: MatPat, I am so very proud of you!

  • Well done again, team theorist! You’ve nailed it.

  • Mat, you knocked this one out of the park. Incredible job.

  • I was invited to a premiere screening and I went yesterday, right now it is Tuesday and the movie comes out on Thursday. I can’t believe how right you were about absolutely everything.

  • Wow. I am impressed how spot on this was after watching this movie in theaters.

  • This aged extremely well! Good job Matt Patt.

  • Welp Well Done Matt Patt That was pretty spot on. Hats off to you good sir. I hope you enjoyed the movie yourself

  • I always watch film theories after the movie because they’re just too accurate these days

  • This is scarily accurate. One of Matpats most successful theories actually.

  • Just watched it. Good job Matt. Not gonna specify which ones you got right tho, let those who haven't seen it have their fun

  • I get the idea of not wanting to make Wanda disliked as a female character, but everything I have seen people say about Wanda is that they are very excited to make her a villain. Having women in respected roles does mean they can’t be villains, it just means they also deserve to be well written and thought out. I for one would love to see Wanda become a villain or antihero. Her character is classical tragic and that’s not a bad thing to explore.

    • So what did you think of the movie

    • Honestly, my dream villain for this movie would’ve been Cillian Murphy as Nightmare. However I appreciated villainous Wanda more as time went on because we don’t really often get the chance to have interesting female villains. They typically try to go the male v. male route so it’s great how they have a big enough woman who could be their greatest ally or their biggest bad.

    • This aged well. So many people who wanted Wanda to be a villain are mad bc of the stuff she does. I personally love it though

    • fax

    • Toni, but maybe the whole time we were riding with someone in Wanda that just doesn’t have the discipline or faith to be able to say that and then keep saying that every day.

  • (No spoiler) I'll rate this 7/10, his theory is pretty close, I mean most of it maybe 80% of it was right. for a theory video, this is pretty good (just lacking the small details). If I was to rate it as a theory video, not how much accurate it is, I'll give it 9/10

  • Hmmm, well, mostly correct, it did scare me to see how brutal marvel went this time round, let's just say, Wanda is SERIOUS about trying to have her kids in her life again

  • Surprisingly correct. Well done on this one mat

  • It’s insane how he spoiled the whole movie before it came to theaters😂

  • Just imagine in the movie, Chris evans enters through a multiversal portal, and everyone thinks “oh my god captain America is back” and then he says “flame on” and catches fire

    • That would exactly have been a great scene

    • Kevin should've called you!

    • I saw the movie. That did not happen. Missed opportunity.

    • Hiya @Johnny Adams. On the scale of 1 to 10, why is your disappointment over 9000?

    • @Hedgehogs M8 unfortunately for star wars

  • Oh my God, I just rewatched this after I finished watching Multiverse of Madness, and I literally got goosebumps from MatPat literally predicting almost everything in the film.

  • I mean he wasn't wrong. Love rewatching these and showing myself that I can't ever theorize like Mat

  • One thing I noticed with the movie, and building off of What If? is that each universe character is the same actor, as in each character is tied to the person who portrayed this. Made me happy honestly that Tom Cruise didn’t waltz in and take away from Robert Downey Jr, meaning that Robert will truly always be Iron Man, and it also establishes Krasinski as our Reed Richards.

    • No. Different lokis look different in different universes. Same as any character. Some will look the same and some will look different.

  • Not me seeing this after watching the movie yesterday. All I can say is that Mat is really really incredible for getting all these things just by watching the trailer. If by any chance he is reading this, 1. u are hella awesome and 2. can't wait for a video on your point of view after seeing the movie!

  • Something to keep in mind. Agatha said she’s stronger than the Sorcerer Supreme. Wong is currently the Sorcerer Supreme so they wrote themselves a little loophole. We don’t actually know if she’s stronger than Dr. Strange. My money is on Wanda for sure but they left themselves the way out on purpose for sure.

    • Turns out she's definitely stronger than strange and Wong

    • Marvel lives wanda and females to out it bluntly, lets just be honest. They will make wanda stronger in the plot

    • That is so true I never thought about it like that. I think Wanda is stronger too but if they battle I think Strange will beat her because it's his movie.

    • The dark hold was written millenias ago tho and strange was meant to fill that role though if it weren’t for the snap

    • @Assa Darlingtoni bro sorcerer supreme is a title just like hokage in naruto , some are good at administration others are just powerful enough that their presence is enough to keep evil in check , thats like saying sarutobi and hashirama were on same power level (not even comparing naruto hokage) , they clearly were not , they were just chosen for it . strange could be stronger or on par with wanda .

  • A sign of a good movie with a coherent story is matpat guessing the plot correctly lol

  • This was scarily accurate

  • I don't know how I feel about this video, now that I watched Multiverse of Madness.

  • Just came back from watching the movie. Kudos to you, my friend. You actually got it right

  • Finished watching Multiverse of Madness, and MatPat got it right!

  • going back to watch this after the movie and I am AMAZED. You literally got it spot on 3 months ahead congrats

  • How did he get almost the entire movie correct

  • Spoiler alert for everyone (you have been warned): His every speculation turns to be true, at least for the most part.

  • *We're in the universe where MatPat's theories are starting to be correct*

  • Who else is rewatching this theory after the film

  • all im gonna say is watch the movie. trust me, its not one to miss

  • You truly are a genius Matpat, it’s insane how much of this was right just by inspecting the trailers

  • Lets be real He pretty much hit the nail on this one

  • Matt, you had it right in the first guess! That's exactly what happened!

  • Literally 85% of this theory was right. Good job Mat haha

  • I just watched the movie and my first thought when i finished it was to rewatch this video to check how accurate it was compared to the movie and i can’t believe you were right 😱

    • I did the same thing. I just saw it and he was pretty spot on

  • Just came back from watching the movie, MatPat literally predicted the entire thing like wth!!! Although he wasn't 100% spot-on or didn't entirely go with the actual closest theory, just how close he got is actually insane! EVEN THE ILLUMINATI!! WHAT!!!

  • Watching this after watching Doctor Strange 2, I think it's funny how much Matpat was wrong about Wanda not ripping worlds apart to look for her kids, and I think it's a good thing that we got what we got with this movie. It's a change of pace and something we weren't expecting

  • Just watched the movie and this was beyond spot on, like… he wrote this movie accurate👁

  • congrats matpat you mostly hit the nail on the nose with this one I watched the movie yesterday

  • I watched the movie today and it amazes me just how close he gets to the movies everytime

  • Could that scene with Wanda having blackened fingers be a different version of her from the multiverse? This trailer already set up that there are different versions of these characters coming in, so it's certainly possible. Plus her costume is different in that scene, and it seems strange to give her a new one so soon after the costume change at the end of WandaVision. I know it's not much to go off of, but I thought I'd put it out there.

    • @Ninyariel oof

    • @Shaks nope atleast not in the MCU multiverse

    • @Kenneth Patac Ah yes, our time moves differently from that commenter 😂

    • I’m from the future and I’m here to say that this is our wanda, and there’s only another one variant of wanda in the movie, the inked one

    • @Shaks there’s variants of Wanda but only one scarlet witch tho.

  • Had to come back and watch this theory again, after watching the film, it is very scary that MatPac broken down the whole movie scarely to a T😳📝

  • Its astounding how right he was.

  • Back today and finished the movie. Hats off to you film theory

  • Wow this theory is pretty much correct! Congrats Matpat!

  • I think making the other Doctor Strange look evil is Marvel's trick to throw us off. He might be the overpowered Strange supreme from "What if?". As we can see in the trailer, things got messed up a lot. Since Strange supreme is one of the guardians of multiverse, he came to this universe to tell Strange "things got out of hand" and maybe help him to establish order.

    • @Vihan Krishna pretty sure most people have seen it are at least clips from it

    • I think it's not a trick but just that he's a side mission In one of the other universes they enter into maybe by accident and get halted by him for a bit before Wanda is shown to be the villian.

    • they wudnt pull the what if angle because a large amount of theater audience hasnt seen it

    • Chances are the “evil smile” is due to the fact that the MCU and What If timeline could’ve taken place a long time apart, there’s a very real possibility he was Watching Zola and Killmonger for thousands, if not Millions of years, that would’ve driven anyone into losing their Social Skills

  • I love how correct this theory was lol, literally the Illuminati all the way to Wanda

  • Fully convinced that Matpat has used the Darkhold to predict these movies because, brushing aside some small details, he's pretty much on point

  • Three Months later and Matt Pat is on the ball with this theory not fully but enough and that's good enough for me

  • Its important to remember that when Agatha says that Wanda is stronger than the Sorceror Supreme, at that time, Wong was the Soceror Supreme.

  • It's fun watching this after the movie and seeing how close he was! Way to be Matt!

  • [SPOILER WARNING] The quote Wong made in the first trailer was such an awesome misdirect. “Your desecration of reality will not go unpunished!” This ended up being towards Wanda but after watching No Way Home and seeing the original trailer who WOULDN’T have thought he was talking to Stephen. Little planned out details like this are why I’ll be watching Phase 22 in my 80s!!!!

  • Not even going to lie MatPat NAILED the whole movie!!! Great job done from the team. A big big biiiig W for team theorists.

  • As I was watching M.O.M. I thought halfway through, ‘Oh my god, I think Film Theory predicted this.’ It’s so great to see how much they got right!

  • How do we know for sure that the "evil" Dr. Strange is actually a villainous doppleganger. The trailer doesn't necessarily imply he has any sinister agenda. Just because he's got a maniacal smile, doesn't exactly mean he's an antagonist. The only justification would be the whole Sm Raimi having made a bad guy clone of Ash in the Evil Dead series. Otherwise it could just be Strange Supreme from the What If series who is more experienced and knowledgeable about the multiverse making him an invaluable ally to the main live action Dr. Strange.

    • Ok so movie watcher her: whooo what was a close theory! Nope, not Strange Supreme. That one died either to a fence or to the Inhuman King dude Not evil Strange either, just chaotic neutral Strange Oh and OG Strange becomes a necromancer

    • he is a variet in the new trailer u can see the creaturs coming out of him

    • Dr Strange is in both the Tobey and Tom Spider-Man movies

    • @Eerie Itroll If I was able to work, I wouldn't put myself out there and ask for help, I wouldn't be healthy, I didn't need anything.

    • @Malak Chakir stop beggin on ILaward and make some cash at a job unless your disabled or some crap

  • Marvel: _time to release the trailer_ MatPat: *time to release the story*

  • You know, rewatching this after watching the movies itself is, interesting

  • I was skeptical at first, but man, this theory was SPOT ON!

  • Good job Matpat! This is one of the most accurate predictions I've seen from you.

  • I’m so excited to watch this movie in May! Looks interesting and can’t wait to explore more of the multiverse!

    • SAMEEEE

    • @HuneeBruh Gaming there’s another one that came an hour before this one. This comment was copied multiple times

  • The way he's right about the Illuminati being in the movie

  • Not me screaming in theaters while seeing how accurate Matpats predictions were. Yall can we go for a movie as Film theory fans

  • I'm so glad I missed this when it came out because you nailed it almost exactly. Well done.
